NATE’S CAPTAINS - Round 13
Isaac Heeney went Bang!!! Well done to anyone who had the VC/C on him. Grundy being out hurt a lot of coaches who had to find someone else. Callaghan finally repaid all the coaches who picked him up expecting some big scores but have been underwhelmed until last week. Only 6 players scored 130+ even with 4 teams on the bye that is quite low. If you found a captain who went 110+ I think that was par with a lot of our premiums under performing.
Ninja VC: First game of the week. In your league head to head match ups your opponent cannot see changes to your team you have made until the Thursday night game starts. Catch them by surprise with a big VC.
Last week: Jai Newcombe (98) Average 112.5
Bailey Smith: If you are in the 25% owners you’d have to think about Baz every week. Average is 124.8, Last 2 games vs Adelaide 172 in round 3 in Geelong and 126 @ AO last year.
Boom or Bust VC:This will be a high variance VC option. Hoping to hit it out of the park and make it an easy decision for you. Either hell yeah or hell no.
Last week : Bailey Dale (106) Average: 96.9
Noah Anderson: Last 3 week avg is 135, but before that his last 100 was round 1. So will the form continue and go massive or another nothing score?
Early VC: Friday/early Saturday VC/C option a lot of people will likely lock in. Bye rounds means your VC can be as late as Saturday night.
Last week: Marcus Bontempelli (118) Average 123.4
Had Grundy last week but he was managed out of the Swans team. So next best was Bont who was serviceable in a low scoring week.
1) Zak Butters: If in doubt Butters is the guy. Vs eagles who let Merrett run free.
2) Harry Sheezel: Another guy who has had a super consistent year. Also going LDU is also a good play in this game.
3) Bailey Smith: Keep on keeping on. Always a good option.
Captain Obvious: Let’s make it an easy decision. Should hit 110 on a bad day but hopefully we get that 130 we are chasing.
Last week: Nick Daicos (111) Average 116.1
1) Max Gawn: Has a strong history of 130’s vs Pies. Hasn’t gone big since Round 5 but if Heath stays out I feel like its when not if. His opponent Cameron didn’t look great last week and media is all over him.
2) Isaac Heeney: How to do you not go with this guy? Doesn’t have the best record vs Saints and that’s why he’s in my #2 spot
3) Archie Roberts: Finds plenty of the ball. But score depends how he uses is. Vs Carlton who are playing better still give up points to designated kickers either through behinds or dump kicks forward. Merrett also excites me after 28 touches and a goal in a storm where he couldn’t hit a target.
Hail Mary: Last game of the week. Just incase your team hasn’t performed and you need that last moment magic to win some head to head matches.
Last week: Darcy Parish (67) Average (117.7)
Max Gawn: If not Max who? Jordan De Goey 3 of last 4 games he has scored 110+. Having a big uptick in centre and always delivers impact.
