NATE’S CAPTAINS - Round 14

Well what a week. Plenty of players scored 100 but not many excelled. Luke Jackson scored 128 and was the only player owned by over 10% that scored 122+. Heeney, Murphy Reid, JHF and Nick Daicos other plays owned above 10% who scored 112+

Ninja VC: First game of the week. In your league head to head match ups your opponent cannot see changes to your team you have made until the Thursday night game starts. Catch them by surprise with a big VC.
Last week: Bailey Smith (106) Average: 112

Marcus Bontempelli: The big dog loves Marvel. The big dog loves Adelaide scoring 141, 174, 119 last 3. 174 was the only Marvel game. Adelaide last week put work into Tom Stewart and Jeremy Cameron but allowed Smith (34), Holmes (30), Dangerfield (30) to run free in the midfield.

Boom or Bust VC:This will be a high variance VC option. Hoping to hit it out of the park and make it an easy decision for you. Either hell yeah or hell no.
Last week : Noah Anderson (101) MEH Average: 97.2

John Noble: He has 4 scores at 129 or above last 5 weeks. If you are an owner why not roll the dice on him with a VC and hope he can replicate the result.

Early VC: Friday/early Saturday VC/C option a lot of people will likely lock in. Bye rounds means your VC can be as late as Saturday night.
Last week: Zak Butters (96) Average 121.3

Not a good week for my VC options. And in reality unless you had Luke Jackson as VC against Xerri you were probably rolling the dice into a better captain.

 1) Marcus Bontempelli: As mentioned above, this looks like best option to me.
2) Bailey Smith : Bailey Smith at GMHBA has resulted in 4 of 5 games over 115. Gold Coast usually go head to head in the mids.
3) Harry Sheezel: Would feel better about this if it was at Marvel, but still playing against West Coast usually means good things.  LDU is also a good play here. The Kangas mids will be looking for a bounceback.

Captain Obvious: Let’s make it an easy decision. Should hit 110 on a bad day but hopefully we get that 130 we are chasing.
Last week: Max Gawn (109) Average 115.5

1) Isaac Heeney: If in doubt Isaac is your guy. Had a tag last week and still managed 119. Just the ultimate model on consistency this year.
2) Lachie Neale: Hasn’t been the best year for Neale or the Lions, but the Tigers have been a good match up for Lachie with 130, 162, 143 last 3. Coming off his best score of the year so maybe this is when he puts it together again.
3) Max Gawn: Probably should be higher. But post game comments have me worried and I am writing this on Monday. He mentioned a 5 day break and Max Heath may play.

Hail Mary: Last game of the week. Just incase your team hasn’t performed and you need that last moment magic to win some head to head matches.
Last week: Max Gawn (109) Average (117)

Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera: If looking for a defensive upgrade Nas could be your guy. Still in 18% of teams though. Has a bye in a few weeks but he is priced well and came back with a 101.
