NATE’S CAPTAINS - Round 16

SuperCoach. Round 15 may have been the easiest week of the year to get a captaincy score above 130. Feels like every popular choice delivered. Jackson, Daicos, Sheezel, Nas, Bont, Gawn and Anderson all went 135+. Hopefully you landed one of those scores as the captain and a few more to really boost your score.

Ninja VC

First game of the week. In your league head to head match ups your opponent cannot see changes to your team you have made until the Thursday night game starts. Catch them by surprise with a big VC.
Last week: Luke Jackson (176) Average: 115.5

Isaac Heeney: Coming off the bye so he should be fresh. Brisbane haven’t really been stopping mids lately with Taranto (126) & Prestia (106) having good games against them. Last time at the Gabba, Heeney scored 136 so he has history at the venue as well.

Boom or Bust

This will be a high variance option. Hoping to hit it out of the park and make it an easy decision for you. Either hell yeah or hell no.
Last week : Lachie Whitfield (88) Average: 97.6

Jai Newcombe: Giants can be tough to score against. But with Will Day back we have seen 98, 136, 123. Hawks have more weapons to stop which means Duke Newcombe may be the one who gets them.

VC/C

Thanks to the byes, you can push your VC very late into Saturday. This week I’m combining VC/C into the same section to give my top 5 selections across the entire round.
Last week: VC Nick Daicos (159) Average 122.5
Last week: C Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera (144) Average 116.7

1) Nick Daicos: If you don’t tag him you wont stop him. Without pressure there is no concerns about disposal efficiency and score goes to the moon.
2) Harry Sheezel: Coming off 153 and runs into the Bombers. Must be nice. Scored 145 in round 3 against Bombers. Only 1 of his 6 Marvel games he’s scored below 125
3) Jordan Dawson: Showdown time. Dawson has been huge last few weeks which has seen Adelaide improve. Last week was first sub 100 score in last 7 weeks.
4) Luke Jackson: #3 for average and will be at least #2 total points after this week. 167 behind Gawn for #1. If you are wondering who I should go, Luke Jackson is always the answer.
5) Isaac Heeney: Last time against Lions at Gabba he scored 136. I’m sure you know how good he has been this year. Only 1 score below 98 for the year.

Hail Mary

Last game of the week. Just in case your team hasn’t performed and you need that last moment magic to win some head to head matches.
Last week: Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera (144) Average (120)

Luke Jackson: The term unicorn is used far too frequently for my liking, but this guy really is a 1 of 1 in the competition. No one else has the skill set he possesses and I don’t think it matters if and how Gold Coast uses Witts & Moyle. Jackson is primed for another day out.
