NATE’S CAPTAINS - Round 20

Well that was brutal. If you got 120 from your captain well played. Very underwhelming round by a lot of our premiums and we saw team scores drop. Good news with round 20. There appears to be some really good match ups and if we could stop having season ending injuries to premiums, then that would be great. Last week before finals so lets get those wins and lock up top 8’s in all our leagues.

Ninja VC

First game of the week. In your league head to head match ups your opponent cannot see changes to your team you have made until the Thursday night game starts. Catch them by surprise with a big VC.
Last week: Bailey Smith (120) Average: 116.3

Jordan Dawson: Colingwood don’t restrict mids. Walsh 122 & Cripps 114 last week. Adelaide need to keep winning to try and get that top 4 spot and I’m expecting Dawson to get a jetpack on and carry them by himself if required.

Boom or Bust

This will be a high variance option. Hoping to hit it out of the park and make it an easy decision for you. Either hell yeah or hell no.
Last week : Brad Hill (65) Average: 95.3
Two weeks in a row I leant into a saints player here and two weeks in a row let down. This was mine and Damo’s VC, so I can promise you I feel just as let down as any of you.

Max Gawn: I’m writing this before teams drop. And that’s why Gawn is here. Does Heath play? Is Gawn sore from a few knocks? Geelong is usually a good match up for rucks just ask Marshall who may have been having a job interview.

VICE CAPTAIN

Last week: Luke Jackson (94) Average 124.9

1) Luke Jackson: Didn’t fire last week but this should be his welcome back game. Vs Eagles and Bailey J. Has a BE of 154 and I think he may push that.

2) Zach Merrett: Back to the middle last week where he plays best. Now against hawks who he wanted to get to last year. This could be another one of those full dress interviews to show the hawks exactly why the should spend the capital to get him.

3) Bailey Smith: Just keeps on keeping on. Hasn’t had a monster game in almost two months but his average has only dropped 5 points as he continues to hit 115-125

CAPTAIN OBVIOUS

Last week: Will Ashcroft (99) Average 122.9

While some VC’s look good I think the best of the week comes from the captains. Depends on your loops you could be like me and using two of these options as VC & C options.

1) Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera:  Was tagged and nullified by Geelong and Oisin Mullin. No shame in that, but he is back home to Marvel and while North Melbourne do have some stoppers they couldn’t stop Pickett last week.

2) Marcus Bontempelli: I love picking these guys at Marvel. Always perfect conditions and the best players shine. Carried the Doggies last week and scored 155 now he has a much easier match up with tigers so feel like a 25 + 2 goal performance could be coming.

3) Harry Sheezel: 3/3 Captain’s at Marvel. Has shown he has a massive ceiling this year. Sheez gets #3 for me just because he may get the Windhager tag and although Bailey Smith punched out a 120 against the tag last week, I don’t think North will work as hard to protect their guy and help him get off the chain.

Hail Mary

Last game of the week. Just in case your team hasn’t performed and you need that last moment magic to win some head to head matches.
Last week: Clayton Oliver (83) Average (118.8)

Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera: He was my #1 captain so of course he will be the guy here.
