NATE’S CAPTAINS - Round 7
Some big scores for our captains this week. Plenty of premiums scored what we wanted while a few failed. Hopefully that was just a VC option and you were able to make a good choice with your captain.
Ninja VC: First game of the week. In your league head to head match ups your opponent cannot see changes to your team you have made until the Thursday night game starts. Catch them by surprise with a big VC.
Last week: Nick Daicos (140) Average: 99.6
Brodie Grundy: Man is on fire, having a massive year. This is as long as English isn’t playing.
Isaac Heeney is my choice if Tim English is playing.
Marcus Bontempelli is due a bounce back game but maybe James Jordon looms after Oisin Mullin did the job last week.
Boom or Bust VC: This will be a high variance VC option. Hoping to hit it out of the park and make it an easy decision for you. Either hell yeah or hell no.
Last week : Isaac Heeney (102) Average: 87
Kozi Pickett: Having his best year for SuperCoach and playing Richmond this week. Kangas just did a number on them and Parker, Sheezel and LDU went big.
Early VC: Friday/early Saturday VC/C option a lot of people will likely lock in.
Last week: Brodie Grundy (136) Average 135.
Tough week. After last week where 130 was a score to lock in this week if you got 130 you probably wanted to roll the dice. I know I was tempted. But we had some good and popular captain options in Sheezel and Gawn who did better.
1) Max Gawn Vs Nankless Richmond. Hard to see him not having a day out again. Feels like the new ruck rules just means the elite ruck’s just get better
2) Nick Daicos: 3 qtrs of nothing special, but that last qtr he was the difference. Doubled his score from ¾ time. Essendon were much better vs Suns but Rowell 125, Trac 105 and Miller 103 shows mids are still good match ups.
Captain Obvious: Let’s make it an easy decision. Should hit 110 on a bad day but hopefully we get that 130 we are chasing.
Last week: Luke Jackson (125) Average 125.5
I think the best options are early in the week. But we have a few options here.
1) Nick Daicos: Plays early so you would need a VC Thursday or Friday night. But playing on Anzac day vs bombers.
2) Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera: Hasn’t been the year we expected from Nas so far, but gets a good match up this week. At marvel vs Eagles. Feels like this could be a 30 & 3 type of day.
3) Luke Jackson: Sometimes it pays to be lucky. Pitt has a broken hand and is not making the trip. Expect Reidy to be blues #1 ruck and Jackson as the ruck/mid hybrid to have yet another day out.
Hail Mary: Last game of the week. Just incase your team hasn’t performed and you need that last moment magic to win some head to head matches.
Last week: Luke Jackson (125) Average (144)
Finn Callaghan: Popular pick up last week and was stopped. Expecting Finn to bounce straight back and put up a big score to close out round 7 against the kangaroos.
Tag Alert: Last week I put an alert out for Finn Callaghan and he definitely struggled vs Swans. Only scored 65 missed his BE (even though if you bought him in you are keeping for the year, injury permitting) which is his lowest score by 20 for the year, lowest score ever vs Sydney and 45 point below his average
Zak Butters: I like that he is playing at Adelaide Oval but have the feeling he could get attention from Oisin Mullin who just did a job on Bontempelli. Butters last two scores vs Geelong are 45 & 53
