The Round 6 Wash-Up
It was a fairly low key round, some rookies are clearly ready to be cashed in and it feels like the season has settled in a bit now.
Some injuries and some major talking points which will be discussed on the podcast this week
But first, let’s start with our Heroes and Villains
HEROES
Zak Butters had fire in his belly and produced a 154 against the Hawks, while Jeremy Cameron, Bailey Smith and Max Holmes exploded against the Bulldogs with 160, 151 and 121 respectively. Zach Merrett had the ball on a string on the Gold Coast to come up with 150, Jordan Clark was best on in the Derby with 146 and teammate Luke Jackson rewarded late captain calls with a 125. Harry Sheezel produced a 141, Nick Daicos ended on 140 in his milestone match. Callum Wilkie continues on his merry way with a 121.

VILLAINS
Marcus Bontempelli headlines the villains again with a 66, Josh Daicos struggled against the Blues to only come up with a 74, Nasiah was well held and finished on 70, Josh Rachele didn’t reward his owners only coming up with 68. Andrew Brayshaw continues to annoy owners, only getting to 65 in the Derby, while in the Sydney derby Finn Callaghan was held to the same score.

INJURY & SUSPENSION NEWS:

Sam Darcy has unfortunately ruptured his ACL and will miss the rest of the Western Bulldogs season
Tom Liberatore is in concussion protocols and will the game against Sydney on Thursday night.
James Sicily and Dylan Moore were both cited by the MRO for gut punches behind play in their match against Port Adelaide and will both miss the game next week against Gold Coast in Tasmania.
John Noble will be missing from the same game after he was cited for a high bump on Tom Edwards in the game against Essendon
Tim Taranto is in concussion protocols, leaving the game against North Melbourne just after half time.
Sam Banks will also miss the game against Melbourne on ANZAC Day Eve with a fractured collarbone requiring surgery and a stint on the sidelines.
