The Round 8 Wash-Up

Writing this before the Gold Coast/GWS game starts, so let’s hope nothing major happens in that.

Another fairly underwhelming week. We were all so impressed with the rookies and struggling to decide who the move and then they all collectively had weeks that reminded us they aren’t keepers by any stretch of the imagination. Something we’ll likely talk about on the podcast this week. Get your questions in!

But first here’s this rounds Heroes and Villains;

heroes:

Tristan Xerri monstered his way to 165, Max Holmes looked back to his best posting a 149, Luke Jackson came away with 147 while teammate Shai Bolton dazzled with a 134. Bailey Dale looked like a masterstroke pickup for a 141. Grundy and Heeney with 130 and 129. Zac Bailey conjured up a 122 trying to prove this year isn’t a fluke, Bontempelli soldiered on for a 118.

Others: Dan Houston (131), Ed Richards (117), Kysaiah Pickett (113), Zak Butters (113), Justin McInerney (110)

Villains:

Josh Daicos and Josh Worrell both frustrate both landing on 89, Jordan Clark’s quiet patches are proving costly with an 85, Callum Wilkie’s ton run came to an end with an 83. Sheezel tagged to finish on 82, Jason Horne-Francis wouldn’t have pleased his new owners only crawling to 75. Cash cow/stepping stones Tanner Bruhn, Sam Grlj, Jacob Farrow and Mitch Edwards all missed their BEs losing cash this week.

Others: Josh Dunkley (70), Luke Parker (66), Sam Flanders (69), Caleb Serong (63)

INJURY & SUSPENSION NEWS:

(for relevant SC players)

MARCUS BONTEMPELLI - We all know about his knee injury and was clearly struggling late in the contest on Friday night against Freo. Luke Beveridge mentioned in his post game presser that he needed a rest, too. Adam Treloar will come back in after being managed, and Bulldogs don’t have a bye until Round 16. Wouldn’t surprise if he doesn’t make the trip to SA to face Port Adelaide.

AND FINALLY, HOW DID THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS FARE?

hOW DID YOU GO THIS WEEK?
